SHAPE Class Gymnastics

We are thrilled to announce the beginning of our gymnastics unit in SHAPED (Safety, Health, Adaptive, Physical Education, and Dance) at W.T. Sampson ES/HS. This unit aligns with Physical Education Standard 1, which focuses on demonstrating competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns, and Standard 2, which emphasizes applying knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics related to movement and performance.

Our students are diving into the world of gymnastics, learning various movements and techniques. Throughout this unit, they will be working on developing their skills to design and perform their own gymnastics routines by the end of the school year. This hands-on approach not only enhances their physical abilities but also encourages creativity and strategic thinking.
