A Heartfelt Thank You to the Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Dental Team!

This week, we had the incredible honor of welcoming the Dental Team from the Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to W.T. Sampson Elementary and High School. Their visit was nothing short of amazing, and we are deeply grateful for their time, effort, and dedication.
The dental staff did an outstanding job engaging our students and teaching them about the importance of dental hygiene. Through interactive sessions, our students learned the proper techniques for brushing and flossing their teeth. These hands-on activities made learning fun and ensured that our students understood the significance of maintaining good oral health.
In addition to the educational sessions, the Dental Team brought gifts for our students, which added an extra layer of excitement and appreciation. The smiles on our students' faces were a testament to the positive impact of the Dental Team's visit.
When asked about his experience working with the W.T. Sampson Unit ES/HS students, dentist Commander Calvo stated that their job is cavity prevention and that it goes a long way for them to teach the kids when they are younger to brush twice a day for two minutes and to floss once per day and showing the kids that they are here to help.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Dental Team for their exceptional contribution to our school community. Your efforts have made a lasting impression on our students, and we are truly grateful for your support.
