Family and Consumer Science Students Reading to Kindergarten

The Family & Consumer Science students created books for the "childcare" unit. Students learned to identify and demonstrate developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and activities for young children.
Once the students created their books, they read them to the kindergarten class. The kindergarteners enjoyed listening to the middle school students read their books. They were engaged and asked questions of the middle school students.
FACS teacher, Mrs. Sherri Thomas, stated that it was fun to watch the kindergartners enjoy the middle school students read to them.
