This past week, the school community was treated to a vibrant and inspiring display of creativity at the annual K–12 Art Show, a resounding success thanks to the dedication and vision of art teachers Sherri Thomas and Paul Kimmel.
Held in the school’s main gallery space, the show featured an extraordinary range of artwork from students across all grade levels—from the imaginative finger paintings of kindergartners to the sophisticated mixed media pieces of high school seniors. The exhibit was a true testament to the power of art education and the nurturing environment cultivated by Ms. Thomas and Mr. Kimmel.
Visitors were captivated by the diversity of styles and mediums on display, including painting, sculpture, digital art, and collaborative installations. Each piece reflected the unique voice of its young artist, and together, they told a powerful story of growth, exploration, and expression.
Sherri Thomas, who works primarily with elementary and middle school students, brought out the boundless creativity of our youngest learners. Her students’ work was full of color, joy, and imagination—reminding us all of the wonder of seeing the world through a child’s eyes.
Paul Kimmel, who leads the middle and high school art programs, showcased the technical skill and conceptual depth of older students. His guidance helped students push boundaries and explore complex themes, resulting in artwork that was both thought-provoking and visually stunning.
Opening night was made even more special with live music performed by graduating seniors Eston Charles-Villanueva and Dawson Lee, whose talent and presence added a beautiful ambiance to the evening.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the patrons, families, and community members who came to support our young artists. Your presence and encouragement mean the world to our students and staff.
We extend our deepest appreciation to Ms. Thomas and Mr. Kimmel for their tireless efforts in making this event a success. Their commitment to fostering creativity and confidence in our students is truly inspiring.
Here’s to another year of artistic achievement—and to the teachers, students, and supporters who make it all possible!
