We are going to start the Pirate Bucks drawing in the month of September!
Pirate bucks ("Caught being good" tickets) are prepped and
Tickets can be earned for showing the 4 B's: (be responsible, be respectful, be safe, be ready to learn). As students accumulate these bucks, they can put them in the treasure box (in the J neighborhood – one for MS & one for HS) to earn a chance to win a COIN that can be spent in the PTO store. They can also earn then by displaying the Character traits of the month.
WEEKLY ---- 1 student will be drawn, per each box, for a pirate coin that can be 'cashed' in at the PTO store for one of the pre-purchased prizes --- the winners will be announced on the news.
PBIS is an effort to improve student academic and behavioral outcomes by ensuring all students have access to the most effective and accurately implemented instructional and behavioral practices and interventions possible. It provides an operational framework for achieving these outcomes. More importantly, PBIS is NOT a curriculum, intervention, or practice, but IS a decision-making framework that guides the selection, integration, and implementation of the best evidence-based academic and behavioral practices for improving important academic and behavior outcomes for all students.
