🔍 Highlights from This Week
- 🌱 Science in Action: Students compared seed growth in different environments and recorded daily observations in their science journals.
- 🎨 Art Showcase: The Drawing Study project revealed incredible creativity and technique—students explored contour drawing, shading, watercolor, and mixed media.
- 📚 Cross-Curricular Connections: Teachers integrated literacy by encouraging students to write reflections on their scientific and artistic processes.
- 📸 Classroom Moments Captured: Smiles, sketches, and sprouts—check out the latest photos on our Facebook page!
Our 3rd graders have been busy budding scientists! Over the past six days, students have been deeply engaged in a hands-on FOSS science investigation, carefully observing and nurturing seeds as they begin to sprout. With curiosity and care, they’ve tracked the growth of their seedlings and are now exploring a fascinating question:
Will our seedlings thrive in a hydroponic system, or will they need soil to survive?
Stay tuned as our young scientists continue to test, observe, and discover the answers through real-world experimentation and scientific inquiry!
Meanwhile, creativity is blooming in the art room! Our talented students have been hard at work on a Drawing Study project with a powerful objective:
To create art using one main photo and explore four different drawing and painting techniques.
The results are nothing short of stunning. Each piece showcases the students’ growing skills, artistic expression, and dedication to their craft. It’s inspiring to see how much growth these young artists have achieved through this thoughtful and challenging project.
